Job summary

Sares Regis Group is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of communities in the Palo Alto area. You will provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to property managers and onsite teams to maintain high performance and compliance with client expectations.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of property management, operations management, or multi-site leadership experience.
• Experience with residential housing, workforce housing, university‑affiliated housing, or mixed‑use communities preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials and write reports.
• Knowledge of operations software used at the property level (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight across assigned communities to align with standards and client program requirements.
• Conduct audits, identify opportunities, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Act as floating manager during vacancies or peak periods to ensure continuity.
• Monitor property performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support leasing workflows and contract administration; track renewals and deadlines.
