Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Surprise, AZ is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, production, and on-time customer delivery.

You will mentor staff across shifts, coordinate with Safety, Engineering and HR, and manage workflows that include variable temperatures and outdoor loading areas. Flexibility for weekends and night shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures.
