Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff across assigned sites and ensure client satisfaction within budget constraints.

You will lead teams, coordinate scheduling, review performance, and build strong client relationships while upholding safety and quality standards. The role offers full-time hours with competitive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of management experience in a service-related industry (preferably janitorial).
• Business level oral and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee selection and placement of janitorial personnel; manage performance appraisals.
• Understand and champion the company's principles, values and people culture.
• Assign duties and inspect work for cleanliness and quality.
• Develop schedules and manage labor budget within account scope.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training.
• Prepare time sheets, reports and paperwork.
• Maintain open communication and coach employees for success.
• Build relationships with customers by visiting sites regularly.
• Resolve problems and customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Document customer contacts and follow up on issues.
• Identify opportunities for additional work within contracts.
• Ensure all Quality Control site visits are completed and recorded.
• Support accounts at sites to meet customer needs.
