Diversified Maintenance is hiring an Area Manager to oversee janitorial staff at assigned sites and ensure exceptional service within budget. You will supervise hiring, training, and performance while driving client satisfaction.

This role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, safety training, and fostering strong relationships with customers to uphold quality and reliability across accounts.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Business level oral and written communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service skills; active listening skills.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Select and place janitorial personnel; hiring decisions, performance appraisals, and development plans.
• Understand and champion the company's strategic principles, core values and people culture.
• Assign duties and inspect work for cleanliness and completion; review work to ensure quality.
• Determine work procedures and schedules within labor budget.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety/job training.
• Prepare and review time sheets, accident reports, and training records.
• Communicate with employees and coach to empower success.
• Establish relationships with customers by visiting accounts regularly.
• Resolve problems and complaints to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Document customer contacts and concerns; follow through to resolve issues.
