Diversified Maintenance is hiring an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff at assigned sites and ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service within budget. The role emphasizes leadership, safety training, and strong communication across teams.

The Area Manager will conduct staffing decisions, develop employee performance, and maintain relationships with clients, with a focus on consistent, excellent service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of management experience in a service-related industry preferred (janitorial).
• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead, teamwork and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Hire and place janitorial staff; conduct performance appraisals and development plans.
• Uphold company values and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect cleanliness, and ensure quality of service within budget.
• Schedule work and manage labor within budget constraints.
• Conduct orientation and safety training for hourly staff.
• Prepare time sheets, reports, and work orders.
• Build relationships with customers through regular site visits and clear communication.
• Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
• Monitor accounts for additional contract opportunities and quality control visits.
• Spend time at account locations to support outcomes.
