Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager Intern for a 10-week summer program in New Mexico, Los Lunas. You'll coach and develop a team of Amazon associates in a fast-paced warehouse environment, learning leadership, project work and daily operations across shifts, including nights and weekends.

You will receive extensive training to become a capable people leader, with a focus on safety, quality and productivity while managing an internship project and contributing to site goals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of Amazon Associates in a warehouse setting.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing to regularly work shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Oversee deliveries, sort packages and operate PIT equipment where applicable.
