Job summary

Amazon is offering a ten-week Area Manager Intern program at one of our fulfillment centers in Las Vegas. You will coach, motivate and mentor a team of 50-100 associates, drive standard work and an intern project, and gain hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

This onsite internship requires lifting, long shifts up to 12 hours, and shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with expected completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays on a 4‑on/3‑off pattern.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages, operate PIT equipment as applicable.
• Maintain safety, quality and productivity during the shift.
• Provide feedback and help remove roadblocks with support teams.
