Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will ensure customer orders are delivered on time to the right location and coach your team across shifts.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, and HR to meet business objectives, lifting up to 49 pounds, and standing up to 12 hours in variable environments. Flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations outside loading).
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
