Job summary

Amazon CT Danbury is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance while delivering orders on time. You will also engage your team to meet customer expectations and optimize operations across first, middle, and last mile.

You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, and HR to drive improvements and meet business objectives. Expect lifting up to 49 pounds and long shifts in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of hourly workforce and mentor them.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts; work in variable temperatures and noise.
