Job summary

Amazon in North Haven, CT seeks an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates, focusing on safety, quality, productivity and on-time customer deliveries.

You will partner with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA and HR to hit objectives while lifting up to 49 pounds, standing up to 12 hours, and working in variable environments. Bachelor's degree or 2+ years Amazon experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in an environment where noise levels vary and may be loud.
• Work in environments subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments).
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
