Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, and performance across shifts in our Houston area. You will engage your team during shifts, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and to the right location.

You will coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to implement plans meeting business objectives, while working in environments with variable conditions and heights of up to 12 hours of standing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Active USA state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in loud environments and variable temperatures.
• Navigate stairs where present.
