Job summary

Walmart Transportation seeks an Area Manager - Transportation Service Shop to lead a 24/7 service shop, directing technicians and focusing on safety, quality, and fleet readiness. You will drive performance targets, staffing, and budgeting in a high-paced environment to ensure timely, reliable delivery of goods to Walmart stores.

You will oversee preventative maintenance for tractors and trailers, analyze reports for cost control, and coach associates toward career development while upholding

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics with supervisory experience.
• Alternative: 1 year Walmart Refurb/Service Shop or Walmart Logistics management experience.
• 3 years service shop technician experience or Industrial certification with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations in a 24/7 service shop with focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
• Set goals, manage staffing and scheduling, assign work, and coordinate workloads to meet targets.
• Lead preventative maintenance programs for tractors, trailers, and shop equipment to ensure fleet readiness.
• Prepare and review operational and financial reports to monitor productivity and expenses.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify losses or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure associates are trained on maintenance procedures and company policies.
• Promote open communication and employee development across the team.
