Job summary

CMC is seeking a Safety Leader for rolling mill operations to embed safety as a core value in daily decisions. You will lead safety programs, audits, and investigations while driving improvements across processes and equipment reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions, maintain compliance, and promote a culture of safety and quality within the facility. Bachelor’s degree preferred and 5+ years rolling mill experience are desired.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Project Management software experience preferred; AutoCAD skills are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of Rolling Mill experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of rolling mill processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership efforts, ensuring safety is a core value and integrated into daily operations and decision-making.
• Conduct regular safety audits, lead root cause investigations, and ensure corrective actions are executed effectively.
• Analyze recurring issues or process failure points to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities; collaborate with stakeholders to recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and correct safety hazards, and practices and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Define and measure key performance indicators for success.
• Perform inspections of work areas and equipment before, during, and after operations.
• Ensure coordinated internal support to reduce delays and rework.
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.
• Other responsibilities assigned
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy to established standards.
