Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking an Area Manager to lead a field team responsible for locating and auditing underground utilities, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will align daily tasks with production targets, review field reports, and coach technicians to maintain high quality performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, scheduling efficiency, and close collaboration with clients, with an on-the-road work environment and a focus on OTP, efficiency, and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prints at a high level.
• Ability to teach and demonstrate proper techniques to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts between team members.
• Must pass a background screening with no violations in the last 3 years.
• Must pass a DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the team with clear direction and support.
• Oversee scheduling of contractors and sub-contractors.
• Route tickets for optimized efficiency and assign tasks.
• Develop daily production plans and provide assistance as needed.
• Review daily documents and safety messages for compliance.
• Ensure all documents meet client regulations and QA standards.
• Audit and verify timesheets and team attendance.
• Provide expertise on locating, marking, and documenting underground pipelines.
• Dispatch and guide team on assignments and problem solving.
• Train new hires and existing staff on equipment use and procedures.
