Job summary

ABM Industries in Hartford, CT is seeking an Area Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across identified Amazon Specialty facilities. You will manage staffing, escalations, training, and QA to exceed client expectations while supporting site leaders.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and in person communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with Outlook, Skype, Teams, Excel, Chime, and SharePoint.
• Ability to learn new customer-based programs.
• 5+ years' experience in leadership and team building.
• Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Ensures open positions are posted to backfill staffing and avoid under target levels.
• Manages Payroll related items and employee concerns.
• Addresses corrective action with employees.
• Weekly quality control inspections of all facilities and follow-up on findings.
• Maintains client relationships and ensures site cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Spends time on tasks per account and conducts monthly client walk-throughs.
• Manages product/supply ordering where applicable for all accounts.
