Job summary

ABM in Hartford, CT seeks an Area Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of identified Amazon Specialty facilities, ensuring quality and client satisfaction while managing escalations, training, staffing, and coverage. The role requires strong leadership and a focus on process discipline across multiple sites.

You will perform weekly quality inspections, maintain route cards, nurture client relationships, and coordinate product ordering and staffing plans.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and in person communication skills.
• Good computer skills with Outlook, Skype, Teams, Excel, Chime and SharePoint.
• Ability to learn new customer-based programs.
• Experience in facility service with client-facing background preferred.
• 5+ years in leadership and team building.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Willing to work long hours and be available 7 days a week.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of identified facilities and maintain staffing levels.
• Manage payroll-related items and backfill to meet service targets.
• Address employee concerns and corrective actions.
• Perform weekly quality control inspections and follow up on findings.
• Maintain route cards and strong client relationships at all sites.
• Ensure timely posting of SOPs/SOWs and train staff accordingly.
• Conduct monthly client walks and manage product/supply orders.
• Ensure on-site presence and meet deadlines for national team requests.
