Job summary

The Oregon Employment Department seeks an Area Manager (Employment Services Manager 2) for the Medford WorkSource Office. You will provide leadership for employment programs, supervise staff, and manage contract funds to deliver services effectively.

You will guide strategic planning, ensure program compliance, and build strong relationships with stakeholders while advancing diversity and inclusion across services. This role requires in-office leadership in Medford.

Qualifications

• Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience.
• OR three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and conduct strategic planning.
• Deliver and administer department programs including employment services and labor market information.
• Manage multiple Title IB programs, budgets, expenditures, and invoices.
• Develop contracts for service strategies with funding sources and integrated services.
• Coordinate with community partners and other agencies on OED programs and policies.
• Establish field office procedures and maintain complaint systems.
• Oversee job listings compliance with guidelines and funding sources.
• Manage a $4M contract for Title I WIOA programs and grants.
