Job summary

Stord is looking for a Transportation Area Manager in Reno, NV to lead a warehouse operations team focused on sortation and dock management in a high-volume facility.

You will own the sortation and shipping department, coordinate with HR, Safety, and other Ops leaders, and implement process improvements. Applicants should have 2-4 years of automated sortation/WMS experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience with automated sortation, WMS or dock management in high-volume facility.
• Proven leadership experience directing warehouse teams and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience; ability to manage carriers and drivers daily.
• Strong organizational, data-entry, and communication skills; detail-oriented and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a warehouse team to meet daily goals.
• Own sortation, dock management, and shipping department operations.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other Ops leaders to drive results.
• Implement process improvements and workload efficiency measures.
• Plan workload, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely orders.
