Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an Area Human Resources Manager to lead HR strategy and operations across multiple communities in the United States. The role requires regular travel between sites, with approximately 3–4 days per week on‑site presence based on market needs.

You will drive full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, HR systems management, and regulatory compliance while partnering with leaders on performance and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years HR experience (senior living or healthcare preferred).
• Supervisory and employee relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• High integrity and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, job fairs, and hiring processes.
• Ensure compliance with Sunrise Hiring Standards and employment laws.
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and system access for new team members.
• Maintain HRIS, ATS, personnel files, and regulatory documentation.
• Manage unemployment and workers’ compensation claims.
• Serve as HR partner to department leaders on performance management.
• Lead employee relations matters and internal investigations.
• Drive team member engagement initiatives and action planning.
• Deliver HR systems and policy training for front-line staff.
• Maintain audit readiness and complete monthly compliance controls (MKCC).

Pay Range:

$68,000.00 - $85,000.00
