Job summary

Pier House is seeking an Area Sales Manager to maximize sales occupancy and rates for SpringHill Suites Atlanta/Buford Mall of Georgia and Hampton Inn Buford/Mall of Georgia. This 100% office-based role focuses on aggressive sales activities and close coordination with hotel operations.

The successful candidate will drive proposals, manage group blocks, and maintain excellent client relationships while providing weekly sales reports and itineraries.

Qualifications

• Strong business communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Proactive sales approach with outside and inside sales activities.
• Ability to work in high-demand, high-pressure environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Team player with guest service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct aggressive sales solicitation including outside calls, appointments, calls, letters and direct mail; 80% of time in active sales.
• Assist GMs in annual marketing plan and market segment action plans.
• Send proposals on leads and convert to definite status; return proposals immediately upon holding space.
• Document and route all group details (billing, credit, rooming lists, VIPs) to catering for follow-up.
• Keep comprehensive weekly sales call reports and itineraries for potential customers.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a cooperative, friendly manner and maintain guest relations.
