Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking an Area General Manager (AGM) to lead three value streams—in-shop repair, new motor manufacturing, and coil manufacturing—driving safety, quality, and profitability across the unit. You will shape strategy, deploy the IPS operating system (CIPS), and build a high-performance team focused on exceptional customer outcomes.

Success requires a strong track record in general management or operations within rotating equipment, plus hands-on Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business or related technical degree.
• Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize projects by delegating appropriately
• 7 years of combined experience in general management or operations in an industrial services business in the rotating equipment segment
• 3 years of Lean Manufacturing or 6-Sigma problem solving skills
• 5 years of experience managing large-scale projects
• Combined 10 years of experience associated with these disciplines
• Background experience with motor repair and application considered a plus
• MBA and Lean Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• The AGM drives profit and loss for coils and motor OEM manufacturing and leads the unit to meet safety, operational, profit, sales and customer KPI goals.
• Directs Sales & Customer Service: sets sales strategy and ensures an unmatched customer experience.
• Oversees Operations: hires, trains, and evaluates staff and designs the organization for peak performance.
• Leads Continuous Improvement via CIPS, empowering data-driven decision making and waste elimination.
• Manages Financials: develops the annual operating plan and monitors trends to steer performance.
• Upholds Safety and Quality standards and ensures ISO compliance and standard work instruction execution.
