Jobbeschreibung

SkyBridge Luxury has partnered with a distinguished hospitality ownership group to identify an accomplished Area General Manager to oversee two boutique hotels in California.

We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial hospitality leader with a proven track record in boutique and lifestyle hotel operations, financial performance, sales and marketing, elevated guest experiences, and team development.

The ideal candidate understands what makes an independent boutique hotel successful: distinctive positioning, personalized service, local market engagement, strong commercial performance, and a culture that empowers employees to deliver memorable guest experiences.

This executive will have full accountability for the performance of both properties, ensuring operational excellence while preserving the unique identity and guest experience of each hotel.

Key Responsibilities
Multi-Property Leadership & Operations
  • Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across two boutique hotels, maintaining consistent operational standards while preserving each property's individual character.
  • Oversee all hotel departments, including Rooms, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services, as applicable.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, operational procedures, and accountability across both properties.
  • Maintain a visible presence at both hotels, actively engaging with employees, guests, and department leaders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and overall asset performance.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, revenue management, market positioning, and business development.
  • Partner with sales and revenue teams to maximize ADR, RevPAR, occupancy, market share, and overall profitability.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, corporate accounts, travel advisors, tourism organizations, and community partners.
  • Collaborate on marketing, public relations, digital initiatives, and programming that strengthen each hotel's market presence.
  • Identify opportunities to increase ancillary revenue through Food & Beverage, events, partnerships, and unique guest experiences.
Guest Experience & Lifestyle Positioning
  • Establish a culture of personalized, intuitive hospitality that differentiates both properties within their competitive markets.
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through consistent service standards, proactive guest engagement, and effective service recovery.
  • Develop distinctive guest experiences, local partnerships, and programming that reflect each property's personality and destination.
  • Monitor guest feedback, online reputation, and service performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of presentation, cleanliness, maintenance, and overall property condition.
  • Assume full responsibility for property-level financial performance, including operating budgets, forecasting, P&L management, and profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve GOP, labor productivity, expense controls, and departmental performance.
  • Analyze financial statements, operating trends, and competitive market data to identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Work closely with ownership and asset management on capital expenditures, property improvements, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Provide clear and timely financial reporting, business updates, and performance recommendations to ownership.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop strong department heads and operational leaders across both hotels.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture.
  • Establish measurable performance goals and ensure consistent follow-through.
  • Implement effective training, employee development, and succession-planning initiatives.
  • Promote strong communication and collaboration between the two properties while ensuring each team maintains ownership of its results.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive hotel leadership experience, including demonstrated success as a General Manager within boutique, lifestyle, luxury, or upscale full-service hotels.
  • Previous multi-property or Area General Manager experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead independent or lifestyle-focused hotels where guest experience, design, local culture, and brand positioning are essential to success.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in sales, revenue management, market-share growth, and profitability.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hotel financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and asset performance.
  • Experience working directly with hotel owners, ownership groups, or asset managers.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing leadership teams.
  • Strong understanding of the California hospitality market preferred.
  • Experience overseeing property renovations, repositioning, or operational improvements is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership style with the ability to balance strategic oversight and day-to-day operational involvement.

The successful candidate will be a commercially driven hotelier who understands both the business and the experience of boutique hospitality.

We are looking for someone who can develop a strong sales culture, inspire teams, cultivate meaningful relationships within the local market, and deliver financial results without compromising guest satisfaction.

This individual must be equally comfortable reviewing financial performance with ownership, developing strategic partnerships, mentoring department leaders, and engaging directly with guests.

Above all, we seek a leader who can create two highly successful, distinctive boutique hotel experiences while driving sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
