Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. in Texas seeks a Fleet Supervisor to lead fleet operations, manage drivers and equipment, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries for raw materials and finished products. You will coordinate with production and logistics planners to prevent downtime and maintain safety standards.

The role emphasizes driver management, scheduling, and cost control within DOT and OSHA guidelines, fostering a safe work environment and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in fleet operations.
• 2+ years experience with associated vendors (drivers, equipment, operations, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assures that the truck fleet operation exceeds all safety performance standards set by the industry and the company.
• Ensure all DOT requirements are met, including driver’s logs, certifications, and training.
• Monitor all safety issues on GAF property and on the road, to ensure compliance with all corporate and plant safety rules, DOT safety and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Complete Supervisor's Reports and conducts investigation for all accidents or injuries involving driver or equipment.
• Provide ongoing safety, training, meeting, safety documents, and poster and safety campaigns.
• Work with the Customers Production Scheduler/Planner, coordinate pick‑up and delivery of raw materials, as designated, ensuring no production down time as a result of inventory availability.
