Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or Supply Chain/Logistics preferred.
• 3+ years experience in fleet operations.
• 2+ years experience with associated vendors (drivers, equipment, operations).

Responsibilities

• Assure truck fleet operation exceeds safety performance standards and meet DOT/OSHA rules; maintain driver logs, certifications and training.
• Coordinate pickup/delivery of raw materials with production scheduler and logistics manager; ensure no production downtime due to inventory.
• Control fleet drivers, tractors, trailers, vans, and tankers within budget; review fuel receipts, DVIRs, mileage and time sheets.
• Tender shipping loads for full fleet utilization; maintain proof of delivery documents; manage reverse logistics as required.
• Manage training, evaluation, and qualification of drivers; negotiate with vendors on maintenance and repair costs.
• Seek ongoing improvements to fleet operations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
