Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee branch maintenance programs, ensuring safe and efficient servicing of equipment and vehicles. You will lead shop personnel, coordinate daily workflows, and collaborate with operations to keep gear in safe working order.

You will implement preventative maintenance, maintain safety records, manage inventory, and report monthly to the Branch Manager. A CDL and DOT certifications are required, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• DOT certification for air brake inspection and annual vehicle inspections.
• CDL certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Prior supervisory experience in a shop or maintenance setting preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance staff and satellite shop facilities.
• Directly supervise all maintenance department employees.
• Perform repairs and ensure follow-up on repairs.
• Implement preventative maintenance program and scheduling.
• Maintain inspection, maintenance and safety records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate equipment releases with Operations for inspections.
• Schedule safety meetings and document attendance.
• Manage inventory and authorize purchases up to $750.
• Track fuel use and prepare monthly fuel reports.
