Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling, a family-owned leader in the waste and recycling industry, seeks an Area Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee capital projects and preventive maintenance across the assigned territory from our Corporate HQ in Cincinnati. You’ll plan, manage, and execute improvements while partnering with RVPs and site managers to keep facilities safe and compliant.

With 5+ years in facilities/construction/maintenance/project management, you’ll coordinate bids, manage vendor

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, maintenance management, project management, or related field.
• Experience managing multiple projects across geographically dispersed locations.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP is a plus including project tracking, Purchase Orders, and Maintenance Order processes

Responsibilities

• Lead facility capital improvement and maintenance projects across assigned regions.
• Develop project scopes and specifications and obtain vendor quotations.
• Evaluate proposals and negotiate pricing, schedules, terms, and vendor performance.
• Oversee projects from planning through closeout and budgeting.
• Coordinate with operations leadership to minimize business disruption.
• Manage projects valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars.
• Monitor project budgets and use SAP for reporting and PO creation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to maintain facilities in optimal condition.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and annual assessments.
• Provide support for facility reliability and asset preservation.
• Travel between offices as required; work nights and weekends as needed.
