Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. seeks a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience.

You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, drive operational readiness, and deliver strong business results across locations. The role requires leadership across staffing, facilities, compliance, and day-to-day operations, with travel between offices and a focus on client-centric, consultative service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit environments with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to manage day-to-day operations and labor across multiple locations, including staffing and scheduling.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including handling client escalations and complex issues.
• Ability to travel frequently across assigned offices to maintain in-person presence.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of consultative client experience across 4–6 offices with disciplined execution.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations to reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors while demonstrating client-centric leadership.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting expectations and coaching for performance.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors, feedback, and outcomes to strengthen team execution.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and high-potential talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across assigned offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve business results, client acquisition, and retention.
• Ensure daily operations across offices including staffing, scheduling, compliance, and SOPs.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, supplies, recruiting, onboarding, and preparation for seasonal demand.
