Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 offices, ensuring a high-quality, consultative client experience across all locations.

You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service staff, balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, and drive revenue, growth, and operations performance. You'll own office readiness, staffing, facilities, compliance, and day-to-day operations while building high-performing teams and maintaining strong client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit environments with accountability for performance.
• Strong client-centric mindset focusing on consultative experiences.
• Proven leadership to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Drive business and financial results while managing day-to-day operations across locations.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple locations and exercise independent judgment.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills including handling client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds as needed for office readiness.
• Willingness to travel frequently in-day across offices.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations and accountability.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and performance data.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength.
