Job summary

We are seeking an Area Coach to provide leadership and direct supervision for a Taco Bell restaurant portfolio. This role oversees 4–10 locations, driving performance against the Annual Operating Plan while modeling the company’s core values.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of multi-unit management, proven coaching ability of managers, strong customer and financial outcomes, and flexibility to travel between stores daily. Franchisee is the employer and employment terms vary by location.

Qualifications

• 5 years of successful, operational multi-unit management experience.
• Proven ability to recruit, coach and develop managerial employees.
• Proven ability to achieve high customer satisfaction and financial performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; conflict resolution ability.
• Must travel between designated stores daily; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Background checks are run on all management employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of approximately 4–10 Taco Bell restaurants.
• Find, hire and develop RGMs, Assistant General Managers and Shift Managers.
• Coach RGMs on the How We Work Together Principles and provide regular feedback in 1:1 sessions.
• Take action, maintain high activity and drive results beyond the minimum requirements.
• Assess customer sentiment via visits, VOC and CORE and act on insights.
• Lead product and program rollouts with RGMs for success.
• Resolve customer complaints quickly while maintaining positive relations.

The Area Coach (AC) provides overall leadership and direct supervision of approximately 4 - 10 Taco Bell restaurants to ensure that each Restaurant General Manager (RGM) meets or exceeds the Annual Operating Plan established for their individual unit.

Role:

• People Role model the How We Work Together Principles.
• Find and hire and develop the best RGMs, Assistant General Managers and Shift Managers.
• Coach your RGMs on the “4 Rights” in their restaurants and provide regular feedback during 1:1 sessions.
• Take action without being told, go beyond what is simply required and maintain a high activity level.
• Understand how customers are viewing your restaurants through scheduled visits and detailed analysis (VOC and CORE).
• Lead product and program rollouts with your RGMs to ensure success.
• Resolve Customer complaints quickly while maintaining positive Customer relations.
• Demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic attitude with co-workers, employees and customers.
• Analyze the financial performance of your area and understand trends.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Area Coach position will possess:

• 5 years of successful, operational multi-unit management experience.
• Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement in the selection, coaching and development of managerial employees.
• Proven ability to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, financial performance and employee satisfaction
• Good communication skills and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Exceptional team building capability.
• Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical decision making skills.
• Basic personal computer literacy
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Must be able to travel between designated stores daily
