Job summary

Home Helpers is seeking an Area Care Tech (ACT) to cover clients when regular staff are unavailable, offering variety, flexibility and the chance to truly make an impact. This role supports multiple clients in different homes with compassionate, reliable care.

The position involves assisting with daily care tasks, mobility support, light housekeeping, and documenting care. A valid driver's license, insurance, and clean background are required; travel to client homes is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Active CNA or PCA license preferred, or willingness to become PCA.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Current auto insurance.
• Clean background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to travel to client homes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Supporting safe mobility and transfers.
• Performing light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Offering companionship and emotional support.
• Documenting care activities and reporting changes in client condition.
• Responding quickly to client needs in various homes across assigned areas.
