As an Area Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations by ensuring accurate invoicing, maintaining organized records, and upholding credit policies and internal controls. Your responsibilities include managing accounts receivable reports, assisting with month-end processes, and monitoring daily revenue and settlements to ensure system accuracy and efficiency.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Milwaukee’s leading hotel ownership and management company, operates three iconic properties: Hilton Milwaukee, a premier convention hotel; The Pfister Hotel, a historic luxury landmark; and Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel, a vibrant arts and events hub. These properties offer 1,255 guest rooms, over 60,000 sq ft of meeting space, and multiple restaurants.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Ensure accurate, timely customer invoicing while maintaining records supporting credit policies, internal controls, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accounts receivable reports, spreadsheets, and handle month-end activities and special projects.
  • Monitor daily revenues and settlements, ensuring system accuracy.
  • Provide high-quality customer service, resolving credit card inquiries and chargebacks promptly.
  • Manage billing for groups, corporate accounts, intercompany transactions, rentals, and attrition, maintaining organized files.
  • Oversee collections and payment postings, meeting targets for current and delinquent accounts.
  • Review daily revenue with front office and night audit teams to ensure accurate postings and reporting.
  • Perform daily balancing of credit card batches, sales tax, allowances, and charges to support revenue reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years of hospitality experience preferred.
  • Understanding of financial statements, GAAP, and hospitality financial controls.
  • Strong problem-solving, data analysis, documentation, and multitasking skills; discretion with confidential information.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with hotel property management and POS systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to travel between Milwaukee locations and work flexible hours; knowledge of sales, use tax, and labor laws is a plus.
