Job summary

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience safely rigging and signaling lifting equipment and materials.
• Knowledge of rigging devices and lifting components is preferred.
• NSTC certification or equivalent training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assemble rigging to lift and move equipment or material using cranes or hoisting devices.
• Erect and position structural components to form complete frameworks.
• Direct crane operators via hand signals or radio communications.
• Select appropriate cables, ropes, pulleys, and slings based on load size and weight.
• Ensure safe rigging practices on remote Arctic construction sites.
