Job summary

Qavvik Air is seeking a Ramp Agent to provide safe, efficient ground support at the Kotzebue base. The role involves handling aircraft, baggage, cargo, and passenger assistance in Arctic conditions, working with flight crews, operations, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include aircraft marshalling, baggage handling, and equipment operation, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and teamwork in a demanding outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport identification, security credentials, and driving privileges.
• Ability to complete required safety, security, HAZMAT, equipment, and ramp training.
• Ability to safely work around aircraft, vehicles, machinery, and ground‑support equipment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.
• Prior aviation/airport or cargo experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft ground handling for arrivals and departures.
• Assist with baggage and cargo handling between aircraft and storage locations.
• Provide courteous, professional passenger assistance and guidance.
• Assist with snow/ice removal from ramp and operational areas.
• Operate company vehicles and ground‑support equipment only when trained and authorized.
• Support flight crews and ensure safe, efficient ramp operations.
