Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation's Kotzebue base is seeking a Ramp Agent to support Qavvik Air operations. This hands-on role assists with passenger, baggage, cargo, aircraft and facility operations in Arctic conditions.

You will work with flight crews, customer service, maintenance and vendors to ensure safe, efficient departures and arrivals, including ground handling, loading cargo, and snow/ice removal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain airport identification, security credentials, and driving privileges.
• Ability to complete required safety, security, HAZMAT, equipment, and ramp training.
• Ability to work safely around aircraft, vehicles, machinery, and ground-support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Marshal aircraft into and out of designated parking areas.
• Assist with aircraft arrival, parking, securing, and departure.
• Load and unload passenger baggage, freight, mail, supplies, and other items.
• Transport baggage and cargo between aircraft, hangar, terminal, and storage locations.
• Weigh baggage and cargo and provide weights to relevant personnel.
• Assist with sorting, staging, and securing cargo.
• Provide courteous and professional assistance to passengers.
• Assist flight crews with boarding and passenger direction.
• Assist with snow and ice removal from ramp and operational areas.
• Operate company vehicles and ground-support equipment when trained.
