Job summary

ARCTIC ENGINEERING role in Anchorage seeks an experienced engineer with Alaska PE license and North Slope project experience. Responsibilities include data analysis, client scoping, and design reviews across pipelines and facilities.

Strong proficiency in piping stress analysis tools (Bentley AutoPIPE) and compliance with ASME/ASHRAE standards are required. Independent work, team collaboration, and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
  • Must have Alaska PE license.
  • Minimum five (5) years engineering experience in the oil and gas industry required.
  • Minimum two (2) years off-pad pipeline engineering experience.
  • Engineering experience for projects on the North Slope – Alaska required.
  • Proficiency in Bentley AutoPIPE or other piping stress analysis software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and analyzes data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Works with clients to develop a project’s scope of work, estimates, and/or schedules.
  • Reviews and approves project drawings, standards and specifications.
  • Develops major equipment and material selection, and construction specifications.
  • Uses computer aided engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Ensures that all assigned activities and operations comply with applicable codes, regulations and laws.
  • Provides support during fabrication and installation phases to ensure engineering documents are followed.
  • Coordinates activities with other project disciplines involved in fabrication, operation, application, and installation or repair of various materials, products or systems.
  • Provides technical direction, support and information to other engineers, designers and drafters.
