Job description

Our client: A team-focused & growing engineering firm, based in Anchorage, Alaska. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to assist with client regulatory compliance and mechanical support work across Alaska. They take pride in being flexible, innovative, and relaxed while providing the highest level of engineering services to their valued clients.

Depending on workload, the schedule is approximately 40 hours/week in Anchorage. Some periodic travel to unique and interesting field locations during construction season may be required for short durations.

  • Provide advice and guidance to oil and gas clients on regulatory and engineering matters, including compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Technical responsibility for mechanical design as well as executing and coordinating assignments and managing complex projects
  • Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering projects
  • Regularly develop and evaluate project plans
  • Develop and manage client relationships
  • Provide advice and consultation to the client on engineering matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations.
You need:
  • BS and PE in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of Mechanical Engineering Experience
  • Arctic Experience
  • Experience with the oil and gas industry in Alaska.
  • Experience with fieldwork in remote locations
  • Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule
  • Must work well in teams and with diverse groups
  • Must be comfortable presenting information in front of a mid-sized group
  • Must be technically proficient in standard business software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Must have clean driving record and pass drug test
