Job summary

UIC Science seeks an Outreach and Engagement Manager to lead a robust outreach program supporting Arctic research. You will build a team that collaborates with researchers and communities to promote two-way communication and share findings through public events and school programs.

Strong cultural awareness, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to lasting community relationships are essential; travel to Utqiaġvik and other Arctic communities is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Indigenous Arctic communities.
• Ability to present to large groups.
• Willingness to travel to communities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of O&E projects.
• Supervise Science Liaisons and assign tasks.
• Create content across media (podcasts, flyers, programs).
• Submit weekly/monthly deliverables per contract.
