North Slope Borough seeks an experienced firefighter/EMS supervisor in Alaska to respond to emergencies, perform firefighting, rescue, and medical duties during ground ambulance transport. The role includes supervising station operations and volunteers and may act as incident commander when the Village Fire Chief is unavailable.

You will oversee EMS operations, participate in training, and perform QA on patient care and incident reports to ensure standards are met.

Qualificações

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED plus firefighting/EMS credentials.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license meeting borough criteria.
• Current EMT and BLS or Alaska EMS equivalents.
• ICS training and ability to obtain Instructor cert within six months.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to emergencies and perform firefighting, rescue, and medical duties as assigned.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, vehicles, and PPE; ensure readiness.
• Supervise station operations and volunteer members; coordinate training.
• Serve as incident commander in the absence of the Village Fire Chief.
• Oversight of EMS operations, QA reviews of patient and incident reports.
