The Arctic Science Assessment Lead at American Geophysical Union will guide the ARC2026 effort from coordination to publication, working with editors, authors, reviewers, and partners to ensure timely delivery of assessment products.

Embedded within AGU's Science Assessment Initiative, the role emphasizes governance, partnerships, and sustainable models for future Arctic climate assessments, with a focus on cross‑disciplinary collaboration and credible science communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (environmental/climate science, science communication, public policy, nonprofit management, or related).
• Doctoral degree is an asset but not required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate ARC2026 publication, delivery, and public release.
• Manage collaboration among editors, authors, reviewers, AGU staff, and external partners.
• Support editors with contributions from a large network of scientific authors and deliverables timelines.
• Coordinate peer review with external partners and ensure editorial standards are met.
• Document development procedures and maintain transparency and reproducibility.
