American Geophysical Union seeks a Community Building and Engagement Lead to manage engagement, volunteer recruitment, and community development for the SAI initiative. The role emphasizes building sustainable participation and aligning experts across disciplines with assessment objectives.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in community engagement or volunteer management.
• Experience communicating credibly with researchers and subject matter experts.
• Experience designing stakeholder engagement processes.
• Experience with CRM or database systems.

Aufgaben

• Lead recruitment and selection of volunteer participants across SAI programs with diverse, mission-aligned participation.
• Develop and manage a volunteer talent pipeline, onboarding, and participation metrics.
• Engage and retain the contributor community including authors, alumni, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement across the assessment lifecycle and document feedback.
• Support assessment leadership by coordinating outreach and expert author teams.
• Lead external engagement and communications activities to strengthen visibility and relationships.
• Develop and improve engagement systems, tools, and reporting.
• Perform other duties as required within scope.
