Job summary

The Arctic Science Assessment Lead at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) is a full-time, term-limited role focused on delivering the ARC2026 Arctic Report Card. You will coordinate editors, authors, reviewers, and AGU staff to ensure timely completion, publication, and public release of the assessment.

You will build governance, partnerships, and an operating model for future editions, engage Arctic researchers and Indigenous knowledge holders, and lead planning for early 2027 to sustain

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in a relevant field.
  • Experience in community engagement, outreach, or policy-adjacent work.
  • Ability to coordinate stakeholders and events with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ARC2026 completion, publication, and public release.
  • Lead collaboration among editors, authors, reviewers, AGU staff and partners.
  • Support contributors across a large network, tracking milestones.
  • Oversee peer review with external partners and ensure quality standards.
  • Document procedures and maintain transparency and reproducibility.
