Job summary

Neogard Architectural Specialist at Hempel A/S works with architects and specifiers to increase use of Neogard products for roofing, flooring and waterproofing. This technical sales expert supports influencers who do not directly purchase, coordinating with Segment Managers and National Architectural Specialists Manager to drive specifications.

The role requires proven relationships in the A/E/C channel, coatings knowledge, and strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

Coatings knowledge preferred.
BS in Construction Management or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Civil) with coatings experience is ideal.
3+ years direct experience in architectural market channels with established architect/specifier relationships.
Sales and relationship-building experience is required.
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills are essential.
Organized, independent and proactive approach.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM.

Responsibilities

Maximize long-term specification acceptance by building relationships with key architects and specifiers.
Prepare/update specifications for A/E/C projects when requested.
Participate in writing new master specifications for the firm's library as needed.
Coordinate master specification divisions knowledge base as part of the team.
Identify and develop a pipeline of large strategic opportunities and hand off to sales for closure.
