Job description

Buist Sheet Metal Company is a specialty architectural sheet metal contractor, providing quality and craftsmanship to
our customers for over 75 years. We specialize in custom standing seam metal roofing, slate and clay tile roofing, and
custom copper work. Our work can be seen on many notable commercial and residential projects throughout West

looking for experienced or entry level team members interested in learning or developing their talents with an
opportunity for long term career growth in the skilled trades.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install standing seam metal roofs, wall panels, fascia, soffit, gutters and downspouts.
• Work from and operate boom lifts, scissors lifts, and forklifts.
• Set up and work safely on ladders and scaffolding.
• Maintain personal and team safety in the shop and on jobsites.
• Assist with fabrication of various types of metal including steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel.
• Participate in safety classes and certifications as required.
• All other duties as assigned by Foreman / Team Leader.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior sheet metal, roofing, siding, or general construction experience.
• Knowledge and ability to operate general power tools and hand tools.
• Experience operating a boom lift and/or rough terrain forklift.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work confidently and safely at heights of up to 40′.
• Must be able to work safely outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Must be personable with other workers and be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet work deadlines.
• Must be committed to high standards for quality and excellence in all aspects of the job.
• Must have reliable transportation to the shop and/or jobsites. Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Wages: $20-24 per hour based upon experience.
• Discretionary quarterly or year-end bonuses.
