Job summary

Muza Sheet Metal Company seeks an Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive budgets for commercial projects by analyzing plans and cost factors. You will collaborate with contractors, architects, and vendors to manage bids, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment with standards.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read drawings, and strong communication. Proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam is expected in a office-based environment in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Estimating and/or construction industry experience preferred.
• A detail-oriented person who demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand project drawings.
• Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, or similar estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares budgets by studying plans, updating specifications, and projecting costs for each elevation.
• Estimates commercial architectural projects by analyzing plans and specifications.
• Communicates bidding concerns to general contractors and architects.
• Obtains bids from vendors, and negotiates price to ensure competitive budgets.
• Tracks and reports status of estimated projects and maintains cost keys.
