Harder Mechanical Contractors Inc. is seeking an experienced estimator for our Portland, OR office, focused on architectural sheet metal in the commercial buildings division. You will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare estimates from pursuit through execution.

This is an office role requiring attention to detail and teamwork. Success depends on familiarity with estimating processes, strong time management, and the ability to collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating and take-off experience with a focus on architectural sheet metal.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Ability to read drawings.

Responsabilités

• Review proposal specifications and preliminary drawings to determine scope of work for estimates and bid preparation.
• Use estimating software to complete quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate estimates with project team to meet submission deadlines.
• Complete final cost estimate of projects through the use of in-house software systems.
• Implement estimating best practice and procedures to ensure consistency in estimating deliverables to projects.
