Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an Architectural Job Captain with 5 to 8 years of professional experience to join a collaborative, design focused environment. This individual will play an active role throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to design, entitlements, construction documentation, consultant coordination, and project delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, self motivated, technically strong, and passionate about thoughtful design and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project efforts through design, entitlements, construction documentation, and consultant coordination.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality, accuracy, and established schedules.
• Research, interpret, and apply applicable building codes, zoning requirements, guidelines, and design standards.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subconsultants, and internal project teams.
• Develop architectural drawings, renderings, presentations, and other project documentation.
• Apply knowledge of construction systems, materials, and products throughout the design and documentation process.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities while proactively identifying project needs and solutions.
• Participate throughout all phases of projects and contribute to a collaborative studio environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of professional architectural experience.
• NAAB accredited Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong architectural design, technical documentation, and graphic presentation skills.
• Experience with design development, entitlement processes, construction documents, and consultant coordination.
• Working knowledge of building and zoning codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to actively listen and collaborate.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and successfully manage multiple projects.
• Passion for design excellence, sustainability, and continued professional development.
• Architectural licensure is valued but not required. Candidates pursuing licensure are encouraged to continue their path toward becoming licensed.
