Sr HR Generalist & Business Partner at EYA, LLC

EYA, an award-winning residential builder/developer, is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join our team in Bethesda, MD. This is an exciting and impactful opportunity to lead the coordination and technical execution of distinctive urban infill residential communities — directly for the Owner.

As an Architecture Project Manager, you’ll manage complex multi-disciplinary design efforts, oversee technical drawing development, and drive the seamless integration of architectural, civil, and engineering elements from entitlement through construction. You’ll work hands-on with internal teams and external consultants to ensure precise, high-quality documentation and design delivery.

Are you someone who thrives on solving technical challenges and coordinating across disciplines to bring complex projects to life? Do you have deep knowledge of site design, grading, building systems, and entitlement processes? Are you eager to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative, fast-paced residential developer environment? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between architecture and engineering teams, ensuring seamless coordination of utilities, grading, site planning, and home designs.
  • Coordinate zoning and entitlement submissions, grading utility assessments, and feasibility studies.
  • Manage project workflows from concept through construction, focusing on high-quality execution.
  • Develop highly detailed schematic and technical drawings, exceeding standard industry precision.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, BlueBeam, and other software platforms to produce high-quality design documentation.
  • Support quality control efforts, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in residential design and construction, ideally with urban infill residential communities or builder/developer projects.
  • BS in Architecture, Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field; related advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong background in technical project management and coordination.
  • Deep understanding of civil engineering principles, including site design, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.
  • Expertise in zoning, entitlement, and feasibility phases of real estate development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience in an architecture firm or builder/developer environment is a plus.
  • Background in sustainable design and green building practices; LEED AP or similar certification is a plus.

About EYA:

Since 1992, EYA has been actively developing exceptional neighborhoods across the Greater Washington area, forging a reputation as one of the Country’s top infill developer and builder. We eagerly take on the most challenging opportunities, collaborating closely with landowners and public officials to establish highly successful neighborhoods, oftentimes where other developers may not see potential.

With a proven track record for navigating complex entitlements with expertise, creativity and agility, our team consistently creates value for partners, municipalities, and residents. With more than 50 thriving neighborhoods and more than 7,000 units to our name, EYA is the go-to partner for delivering smart, sustainable communities that offer life within walking distance throughout the greater Washington Metropolitan Area.

EYA’s capabilities span for-sale homebuilding, multifamily and mixed-income residential, mixed-use development, and public-private partnerships. We employ a vertically integrated strategy in our homebuilding business and have multifamily and mixed-use capabilities from stick-built to high-rise construction and amenity-focused retail development. We have significant expertise in horizontal development / infrastructure installation and oversee site development operations to deliver development-ready pads for ourselves and, occasionally, for select partners.

Our team of over 100 dedicated experts has built a particular focus in commercial to residential transformations, retail densification, mixed-income housing, and large-scale master planning. While our projects take many years from conception to completion, we have an unrivaled reputation for delivering on our commitments and have won hundreds of awards for the quality of our work. We focus our efforts primarily on the high barrier to entry markets of Fairfax County, Montgomery County, Arlington County, and the District of Columbia.

EYA is an equal opportunity employer.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000, including applicable bonuses. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and other employee programs. For a detailed overview of our benefits, please visit our careers page: https://www.eya.com/careers-eya.
