Location: Denver, CO or Remote

Position Summary:

The Architectural Project Coordinator supports the planning, design coordination, and construction of a diverse portfolio of capital improvement projects in Alpha Phi sorority houses across the country.

Projects may range from small bathroom and kitchen renovations to major renovations, additions, waterproofing projects, building-envelope improvements, and new construction.

This position will work closely with the Interior Design team but will have a distinct focus on the architectural and construction components of a project. The Interior Design team will lead FF&E, furniture, décor, and overall interior aesthetic selections. This position will focus on permanent building materials, construction details, constructability, and contractor coordination.

The Project Coordinator role should be highly organized and results-driven while overseeing the full lifecycle of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects across a diverse portfolio of 40 to 50 sorority house properties. The role will be responsible for planning, budgeting, executing, and closing projects related to property upgrades, renovations, system improvements, and proactive planning initiatives.

  • Coordinate and communicate with external stakeholders, including general contractors, architects, engineers, permitting authorities and volunteer groups.
  • Hold vendors and consultants accountable to quality work and within contractual agreements.
  • Ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to expected quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor and report weekly on project progress, risks, and financial performance to internal leadership. Keep associated teams informed on budget and progress.
  • Utilize high level problem-solving skills to work through hurdles and known issues that arise on projects.
  • Manage documentation including scope of work, construction drawings, contracts, change orders, invoices and closeout packages. In some cases, assist in the creation of such documents.
  • Support Senior Manager in delivery of extension or special projects as needed.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to perform inspections, oversee construction and resolve field issues.
  • Give and receive written and verbal instructions in a clear and professional manner.
