Job summary

Architectural Systems Inc, in Southern California, seeks a Product Specialist to lead complex building envelope projects, bridging sales and technical design for metal panel systems. Hybrid work in Bonsall/Carlsbad area with travel up to 20% may apply.

You will own bidding, qualify contractors, and guide projects from lead through handover, partnering with architects and GC professionals to win high-margin work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in commercial construction sales, estimating, or manufacturer's representation.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed architectural drawings, wall sections and specs.
• Experience managing vendor RFQ processes and qualifying contractors in bidding environments.
• Strong technical understanding of building envelope systems and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Own complete bidding process: validate specs, identify requirements, deliver high-margin proposals.
• Manage project pipeline from bidding to PO/LOI.
• Qualify contractors using 3-Day/3-Bidder Rule and secure vendor RFQ coverage.
• Provide technical consultations and value-engineering alternatives to architects and general contractors.
• Build relationships with regional facade consultants, glazers, and GC's for repeat business.
• Ensure smooth handover to operations with complete engineering and logistics documentation.
