Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with design on multiple projects, perform standard engineering calculations, and prepare design deliverables using BIM/CAD software and hand calculations.

You will work under a Project Engineer or Design Engineer, performing drafting/modeling, coordinating with staff, and producing construction documents in accordance with codes and criteria; mobility and light lifting are required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Student entering junior or senior year preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with design on multiple projects.
• Perform standard engineering calculations by hand and computer software.
• Prepare design deliverables.
• Drafting/modeling of engineering design.
• Coordinate with other design staff.
• Produce construction documents and specifications per codes/design criteria.
• Review project deliverables for compliance with design checklists and standards.
• Organize project information and files per corporate practices.
• Other duties as assigned by the company.
